I am a Mia Maid advisor and i love it i get along great with all the girls being as i am 19 and was in Young Womens with most of them! but a new girl moved in, and i have tried everything to make her feel welcome, its more than her being shy it just feels like she has put up a wall and doesn't want to fit in! any advise would be appreciated!  |

I remember that I was like that when I first moved into my new ward. What really helped me was my leaders showing true concern and trying to figure out the sort of things that I like, then incorporating that into the lesson or mutual activity. I think that what really helps is persistence with true feeling and intent behind it, just letting her know you care. ^_^ That made all the difference for me.
